30 y.o female. cbc shows wbc of 4.0. range for lab was 4.4-10.8. flagged as low. all other labs incl. diff were normal. last year wbc 4.17. concern?

Any symptoms?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, a stable count around 4 may be your normal and not to be concerned about. Wish you good health!

2 consecutive CBCs showed mildly low WBC& neutrophils. CBC again this week showed both normal but test was run 1 day after a bee sting. Could the bee sting have 'falsely' raised my labs back to the normal range or should I just assume they're now ok?

16 y/o son with low WBC (3.3). All other values on CBC and CMP normal. Previous labs in 2018 showed WBC at 3.9. Mother and sister have history of low WBC but never below 3.5. Will repeat test but terrified about the possibility of cancer. Thoughts?
Just got my CBC back and WBC is 3.1. Lab cutoff is 3.5. The past two years my WBC was 3.6, so I tend to trend low. I've been reading about low WBC and cancer keeps popping up and I'm very worried. Could this be an early cancer sign?
