DNA: There are new dna tests that inform us if a patient is genetically predisposed to heart disease and stroke. This is a simple salivary test. It is believed that 80% of all disease starts in the oral cavity. If a patient has periodontal disease it can trip the inflammatory chain that can lead to heart attack and stroke.
