Very normal: Yes, it's very normal to have some sensitivity, aches, etc following the placement of a dental filling. Sometimes it just lasts a few hours, sometimes a few days and very infrequently, even longer. The larger and the deeper the filling, the more likely you will experience these feelings. If it doesn't subside or if it gets worse, call your dentist for an evaluation or adjustment.

Possibly: For a short while, yes. If it persists longer than a day or two, or worsens, then get back to your dentist to check it. Often the bite is off and needs to be adjusted. Other times the trauma is severe and you need more time. Sometimes the tooth can't survive the trauma and you need to have root canal treatment to remove the aching, dying nerve tissue. Don't hesitate to go back for a check-up.

It is normal: Some discomfort or a mild pain should be considered as normal for a few weeks after having a dental filling. However, ask your dentist to reevaluate if pain is abnormal or if the pain persists more than 3 weeks.
