My 15 year old daughter took a shot yesterday to treat her flu! but the pain in her butt is increasing! how can i reduce the pain ?

? why a shot: Influenza cannot be treated with injectable antibiotics. You need to find out if she had a bacterial infection and received antibiotics. You can try ice pack 20 min on up to 5 x/day. You could try tylenol (acetaminophen) type product.

Painful healing: When our bodies sustain an injury, the immediate response is inflammation (red, hot, tender swelling). This is the body increasing the blood flow to the injury to bring healing factors to the area and also the veins expand to carry bad stuff away. The key is to do things that reduce the parts of inflammation such as ice, and antiinflammatory medications in the first 24hrs.
