Hopefully this: Is a sign your body is "cleaning up" after the infection. If it worsens rather than slowly improving get back with the dentist to make sure there are not complications.

EMERGENCY: Go see your surgeon, and if not available, go to the er asap. The swelling may be an infection which can spread into your chest and/or block off your airway resulting in the inability to breathe. This can become a life threatening situation very, very quickly. Please go now.

See OS: How long ago was tooth removed? Have you taken all the antibiotics given? An infection may still be present, and the floor of the mouth being swollen is not a good sign. It is rare, but fluid build-up in the fascial spaces of the muscles of the jaw and neck can be a significant problem. Get checked asap. Good luck!
