GI virus: The most common cause of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea is one of several viruses. The best thing to do is to keep him hydrated with small sips of water or dilute gaterade (if he's really small, pedialite is fine as well). If he is not getting better or is getting severely dehydrated, he might need to go to the er to get some fluids via IV and some anti-nausea medicine.

Vomiting/diarrhea: May be symptoms of "stomach virus" or low-grade food poisoning. Keep him hydrated with sips of water/sports drink/ vitamin water. Banana, rice, applesauce, plain toast may also be tolerated. Use kaopectate (kaolin and pectin) to slow diarrhea if it persists. Emetrol can help with nausea & vomiting. If diarrhea is heavy, persists, is bloody, see doc for further evaluation.
