Sometimes : Lower back pain from a disc herniation or even back surgery cn cause your bowels to become sluggish or get constipated. Pain meds for either of the above can alos contribute as does decrease physical activity due to the back pain. Be sure to drink 80-100 oz of caffeine free, alcohol free fluid daily, more if you are on pain meds and eat a healthy diet.
