If you have made a : Full recovery and have no symptoms as well as rehabilitated appropriately , you have no real restrictions . However, sports that involve repetitive flexion and rotation may place you at a higher risk of recurrence. Weight lifting competitively would not be recommended, it is important that you keep your core strong and body flexible while maintaining good cardio endurance , .

It depend: What kind problem you had and what kind treatment you had. Let us assume you disc was partially taken out, you had good recovery and physical therapy i believe you could do any sport you want and capable of doing.
