A member asked:

Is buscopan safe in pregnancy? if not what does it do to the baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Category C drug: This drug falls within the group of drugs that animal studies have suggested problems may occur. However there is not enough human data during pregnancy to either say it is safe or not. The benefit to the mother when no alternatives exist may outweigh the concern.
