Varies: It can look like anything from a folliculitis (inflamed hair follicles) to cellulitis (inflamed skin/soft tissue) to an abscess (painful lump with overlying inflamed skin, may be draining pus). This is common with all bacterial skin infections, not just staph, however. See a doctor for further evaluation.
