Communication: It may be helpful for you to have your boyfriend come with you to one of your psychiatry sessions so he can ask your psychiatrist questions. Couples therapy might be helpful also, if this reflects larger communication challenges in your relationship. Regarding losing control, this is something you should raise with your psychiatrist - bipolar disorder is only one. Hope this answer helps.
