Got hit in jaw. pain in left side of lower jaw and ear. hurts to eat on that side. can't close it all the way. have movement but with pain. help?

Couple possibilities: One possibility is a fracture of the jaw bone. It could occur a couple of different places and is only going to be evident on an x-ray. Another possibility is a dislocation in the tmj. You may need to see an oral surgeon for either of these problems.

See Dentist ASAP : It sounds like a possible jaw fracture or a bleed into the TMJ jaw joint. You need an accurate diagnosis from a dentist. They can remmend treatment or proper referral for follow up.

Joint swelling: It sounds as though you have swelling or effusion in the jaw joint on that side. Usually anti inflammatories and ice work well to relieve the symptoms. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you should see a dentist with training in TMJ disorders.
