7 mo old pulling ear to shoulder in jerking movements. he is teething, has runny nose and cough... could it just be that his ear hurts from a potential ear infection? he was tugging on it too but its the head movement to one side thats bothersome

Worrisome: I find tugging at the ear an unreliable sign of anything.The jerking movement at that age is worrisome. I would video this if you can catch it to take in to his doc in case he doesn't do it during the visit.
