What could be causing my head pain? i have sharp, stabbing pain in the rt side of my head, just above my ear. comes and goes. facial movement can cause it to hurt. been going on for about 13 hours. pain meds not much help?

Couple possibilities: Might wonder about jaw issues, such as TMJ, but also consider Tic Douleureux, Occipital Neuralgia, even dental issues. Would contact your doctor, and perhaps your dentist. Should be fairly straightforward with a direct exam.
