None.: Fibromyalgia is diagnosed by history, physical exam and ruling out other causes. Laboratory tests are usually normal.

No: Fibromyalgia can not be diagnosed by blood tests, MRI or other such tests. It is strictly a clinical diagnosis made by taking a careful history and performing a physical exam. Laboratory tests are useful to make certain the symptoms are not caused by some other condition.

Not orthodox : ? if are "specific tests" for fibromyalgia (FM). Defining lab/imaging test nonexistent; FM not caused by single disorder. Causality varies among sufferers, each w. unique combo of afflictions: number childbirths, variety of biomechanical injuries, varying repetitive stress injuries & obesity, differing penetrance of hypermobity & unique levels of sedentariness from variety of chronic illnesses.
