FIQR: Dr. Bennett published the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire (fiqr), which appears to be able to distinguish fibromyalgia from other chronic pain conditions. There is a fibromyalgia app available for the ipad that makes it easy for anyone to use the fiqr. After that, you should share the fiqr results with your doctor and your doctor can do a workup to confirm your diagnosis and start treatment.

Rule out other thing: Unfortunately there is no 'test' for fibromyalgia. Until we have one we have to rule out other things like arthritis, lupus, hypothyroidism, vitamin d deficiency, injuries, chronic repetitive strain.

None: ? tests to diagnose fibromyalgia (FM). No lab test to prove FM, but many tests disprove disorders w. similar symptom profiles, e.g. hypothyroidism. FM is diagnosis of exclusion. IMO several physical exam signs in FM: painful trigger points, Gillete & Fortin Signs, asymmetric shoulder girdles, superior trapezius muscle spasm, Short Leg Sign, functional scoliosis, hypermobility, signs of TOS & TMJ.
