Not likely: While you do need to have the nodules in your thyroid worked up, you shouldn't be too alarmed about the feeling of something in your throat. While it is rarely related to thyroid disease, as an ENT who specializes in thyroid surgery, i can say that it is likely totally unrelated. However, it too should be evaluated. An ENT nearby should be able to help you out in both regards hopefully.

Not a sensitive test: If nodules were detected on your thyroid gland by ct imaging, the information isn't that helpful. The next steps should include seeing an endocrinologist to make sure that the appropriate tests are ordered to figure this out. Some thyroid blood work and a thyroid ultrasound would be included in that package.
