No: If there are trichomonas, you have trichomoniasis. You need to be treated. It is not normally an organism that lives on the human body.

Using a wet prep: (with a microscope) ; finding motile trichomonads is diagnostic for having the trichomonas vaginalis parasite ( a protozoan). If you have trichomoniasis - see a physician for treatment. Culture is not used as often.
