Get Examined: Bleeding of the gum tissue is a sign of something being irritated or infected. From what your stating it could be almost anything. Please as soon as you can have it examined by a dentist to try to determine the best way to care for it.

Most likely trauma.: Most likely something has irritated the gum near the palate or you have had a reaction to something you ate and this will subside in a day or two. Bleeding is indicative of trauma. If this continues and swelling or pain present then there is a possibility that your "dead" tooth has reinfected or the gum is infected in that area or both, and should be checked out by your dentist to rule out.
