i heard a snap when i was being choked while wrestling, now it hurts to swallow, it's been a week and hasn't healed, is this normal? it feels swollen

See your doctor...: The sooner you are checked, the more you can avoid further complications. Hopefully you didn't tear a ligament in your TMJ or fibers from any of the muscles of mastication and deglutition (swallowing).

NOT NORMAL : See your doctor asap. You may have damaged your hyoid bone. This needs to be evaluated right away.
