Not unusual: The procedure you hadvd can certainly contribute to your complaint. It would be worthwhile to call your surgeon to let them know about this complaint. Pain with deep breath may indicate excess fluid in the belly, like a bile leak or possible blood clot in the lungs. Most likely the answer is very innocent, but you should call your surgeon to discuss this pain with them. Even today on saturday nigh.

See your surgeon: While you have had recent surgery and it would not be uncommon to have some post-operative pain, it would be best to contact your surgeon to be seen in clinic. If the examination is benign, waiting is reasonable, but if there is any concern, or abnormal blood tests or worsening of symptoms, an ultrasound or other tests may be helpful in determining the cause.
