Virus likely present: Pcr (polymerase chain reaction) is a biochemical lab procedure sometimes used to test for a virus you might have. If the test is right, the virus tested really is there :( the test can however, be a false positive (meaning it was positive, but the virus is not really there). Results vary depending on a number of factors. Talk with your pcp about the meaning of your result and what to do next.

Lab testing: Pcr is polymerase chain reaction- a scientific technique used to multiply copies of genetic material so that it is easier to find/identify. In this case, the test was looking for a certain kind of virus and it appears that the virus was found. Without more context, it's difficult to say more.
