Test accuracy: Every medical test has a sensitivity & specificity of the finding to detect the disease in question. Stress imaging tests are about 85-90 percent accurate. An angiogram through cardiac catheterization is essentially 100 percent. Which tests have you had, and what is the accuracy of your workup to detect coronary artery disase ?

Sounds like: You could be having anxiety problems and/or panic attacks. Especially if all tests for physical pathology are normal. Next step would be to consult a psychiatrist and/or psychotherapist about your problem, to see about treatment that will bring you relief. However, to do this you'd have to entertain the notion that emotional/mental issues can affect how you feel physically.
