First off: Make sure your feet are getting enough support with shoes good shoes and inserts. See physician for evaluatuion and treatment if this persists.

Radiculopathy: You need pcp eval. X-rays and MRI likely. It sounds like lower back nerve irritation caused by? Your doc is the one to DX and treat or refer to neurologist for further wup. Do not risk continuing problems and do what you are told please. Age never resolves problems like this so don't risk chronic back pain for the rest of your life. Always ask for consult if pcp not getting you relief!
