The flu?: Muscle aches tend to occur when Prednisone or Prednisolone (steroids) are stopped too abruptly. I doubt that the aches and pains were due to the antibiotic or the antibiotic in combination with the steroid pill. It is possible that your wife had the flu that caused the aches and the medicines were not the cause of these symptoms.
