A member asked:

I get a terrible flare up of iritis usually twice a year. i do not have arthritis. is there a natural way to strengthen my eyes to avoid a flare up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iritis flare up: Generally, if the iritis treatment is started quickly, the recovery will be easier. If agreed upon by your treating doctor, consider having anti-inflammatory drops available to begin as soon as symptoms begin, and also contact the doctor for an exam. That way a delay in treatment won't occur. Also, in some the iritis never totally resolves but instead smolders. Get an end-of-treatment exam also.
