I presumed: Vomiting is over. Advance his diet as tolerated .Slow down if he start throwing up big volumes .He should be okay unless he has other signs and symptoms and start vomiting again.

Could be New food: Could also be a reaction to something new in his diet. If you started something, be watchful in a trial and error test.
