Doesn't make sense: Sorry. The question as posed makes no sense as most people have total cholesterol >150.

Agree: Agree with dr koch. You correctly pointed out that cholesterol has more to do with heredity than diet. The choice of statin medication is not as important as the lowering of ldl. All of them are good.
