A member asked:

Can post nasal drip cause sore throat with swollen lymph nodes? what can i do to get the swollen down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Strep vs. cold: The post nasal drip probably didn't cause the sore throat, but all these symptoms are probably attributable to a cold at best, strep throat at worst. Sore throat with swollen nodes, especially with cough, should be evaluated by a doctor for strep throat, because in that case one would require antibiotics, more than just simple cold remedies like chicken soup or tylenol (acetaminophen). Feel better!
