Asthma drug: Advair diskus (salmeterol and fluticasone) is a dry-powder inhaler for use as a daily controller medication for treating moderate-severe persistent asthma. It contains fluticasone (steroid) and salmeterol (long-acting bronchodilator [laba]). It is available in 3 dosage strengths 100/50, 250/50 and 500/50 with variable amounts of inhaled steroid and a fixed dose of laba.
