After vigorous exercise, i often experience a spot of distorted vision and i think it is coming from my left eye. what is causing this?

Need exam to be sure: It is difficult to say what is causing this without an eye examination, including a careful retinal examination. The symptom of visual distortion usually comes from a retinal problem, for example is there was a temporary swelling in the retina after exercise. However, exercise does not usually cause this. Other possibilites could be optic nerve, vascular, or even brain related problems.

Blurred vision: In addition to the other answers non eye problems can be unsuspected cardiac problems including abnormal rhythm.
