Dr. David May answered

Yes: Bridges are permanent replacements for your missing natural teeth. They are permanently placed on either your own teeth or on implants. The implant is the root replacement for missing teeth.

Yes and yes.: Dental implants with crowns (caps) on them are very comfortable- just like having you own tooth. Fixed bridges are also comfortable although they don't last as long as an implant and crown will. Chewing capability is the same as with natural teeth or nearly so. Ease of flossing is better with the implant.

YES: They are both excellent treatment techniques. When done in the proper situation by a skilled dentist they work beautifully and are very comfortable. When given the option, i would recommend the implant treatment, as it will likely last longer. For expert consultation, see a prosthodontist. Good luck.

Yes: A well fabricated dental bridge or implant bridge by a prosthodontist can be extremely comfortable. You should not even realize you have it, and it should become 'part' of you. If performed by a well-trained doctor, especially a prosthodontist, the bridge fabricated will function nearly as perfect as your original teeth. It will also look terrific too! keep smiling !
