My eleven year old son's tooth was removed, is it too late for another one to take its place?

Primary or permanent: If it was a primary (baby) tooth, ther permanent tooth is probably just about to erupt. If it was one of his secondary teeth (permanent tooth), then there is no third tooth.

Deciduous or permane: In other words, was it a baby tooth, or an adult tooth? Baby teeth are replaced by adult teeth. Adult teeth have no natural replacements. However, if an adult tooth is lost in a youngster, teeth further back may tip into the space spontaneously. A more ideal scenario would be to see an orthodontist who can move teeth properly to fill the space, or maintain the space for placement of an implant.
