A member asked:

When u put a glycerin suppository in is it supposed to shoot up your anal canal all the way up through the intestines etc or do u pull it out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All the way in: A glycerin suppository will dissolve in the rectum. It should go all the way in, where it will help lubricate as well as stimulate a bowel movement- it doesn't really reach the intestines. No need to pull it out.
