Keep a close watch: You've done the basics having your physician involved and that goes a long way when you're dealing with fever. If her initial evaluation pointed to viral rather than a bacterial infection, we just wait it out. Some viral illnesses are marked by 3-7 days of high fever followed by a rash. As long as she is taking fluids well & remaining playful at times i'd monitor & recheck if needed.

No but...: Watch your child's general well-being, such as activity, oral intake. Any noticeable change should prompt revisit to her doctor.
