Depends where it is : Depending on the nodules relation to the pulmonary arteries/heart/aorta, i'd say yes. Your surgeon will discuss this with you; if you have doubts you should get a second opinion.

Potentially: Depends on the anatomic position. If not involving the airway or "wind pipe" then can be removed by either a wedge, segmentectomy or lobectomy, if indicated, via vats.
