FNA: The ct is used to guide where a fine needle is inserted from the chest wall to where the nodule is. The ct is used in pulses to locate it not continuous the whole time to avoid too much radiation exposure. Once the needle is deemed in the nodule, aspiration is done to gets cells for study to diagnose cancer, infection, etc.
