Prostate ca: In general, early stage disease is curable. Depending on several factors- i.e. The biology of the cancer, your age, preference, etc- for early stage of prostate ca- therapy can be just watch and wait, radiation therapy or surgery. Prostate ca is more common at much later age -60 or older. In african american- prostate ca can happen at younger age- at age of 40's for instance. Not at your age.

Get second opinion: Have two other pathologists read your biopsy. There are some rare cancers here at your age, but common prostate cancer is vanishingly rare unless you have an odd genetic syndrome.
