Your doctor should t: Prostate cancer can be managed in 3 different ways: watchful waiting(no active trreatment in the older males (>70 year olds) or with local therapy using either radiotherapy or removal of the cancerous gland by means of a procedure called prostatectomy. But this is something your doctor should/would tell you more about. Did he not?

See the doctor: Prostate cancer is managed in many different ways depending upon the age, stage and clinical circumstances. I would suggest you talk to your doctor be it the urologist, radiation oncologist or primary care doctor first. You may have a curable cancer and it is important to follow through. Donot neglect it at this point without getting professional opinion. A conversation with your md is needed.
