Could well be: Absence of fluid around the fetus is disturbing and could indicate a problem with the fetal kidneys (blockage, not formed), fetal heart failure, or leakage of fluid. If fluid is absent then the fetal lungs will not develop properly and there can be problems with muscular development. A repeat ultrasound will be needed to see if there are conditions that can be treated.
