Recently found out that kidney enlarged due to hydronephrosis size of 18.8cm x 9.1cm x 10.4cm then renal scan no function is there a way to recover?

Hydronephrosis: A kidney that is completely obstructed may show porr to no function on renal scan. The kidney should be drained with a stent or nephrostomy tube and the renal scan repeated after 4 weeks with the drain in place. If there is still ni function, then removal may be indicated. Discuss this with your urologist as soon as possible.
