No!: The hardware used in any form of surgery is typically well tested and has to pass fda approval. They are virtually always very inert and should pose no risk to your baby. If you have your implant information (you can also get it form your doc or surgical facility), you can specifically look it up on the fda website which is rather user friendly!

No: If you have a solid fusion the hardware can remain forever. You can also get an epidural at the level above the fusion for pain control during labor.
