Takes some time : Unfortunately only your surgeon knows the specifics of your case. However back pain/incisional pain is common for several weeks after surgery. Did you have improvement of your symptoms after surgery? Was your problem predominantly back or leg pain? Heavy lifting and prolonged bent posture may not be recommended depending on how far from surgery you are. Please ask your surgeon for specifics.

You are recovered: Well, if you had surgery back in 2012, you are “recovered” from the surgery. The question in part is whether or not you had a good result. If you are still having symptoms, there can be multiple potential reasons. With regard to whether or not you should return to a job in the cleaning field, it would be based primarily on whether that would tend aggravate your symptoms, discuss with your md.
