Not likely: If you get a prescription for xanax (alprazolam) and take it to the pharmacy, they will give you xanax (alprazolam).

Not possible: Physicians can not prescribe placebos outside of a research study. If you look on the pill, there is an identifying number, shape, color. You can google "medication identification/alprazolam" and see which pill matches yours.

Highly Doubt It: To prescribe placebo medication to a patient outside of a clinical trial without their consent would be unethical.
