Bump sizes: Lipomas are often under the skin (deeper) and around at least 1cm or much larger. Neurofibromas can be large and deep (plexiform type) but are usually small, like a 5-7 raised, fleshy mole.

Depends: These tumors range in size from a pea to a volleyball depending on how long they've grown. The only way to know the exact diagnosis is to have it removed. If this is symptomatic or rapidly enlarging in size would recommend seeing a surgeon.
