Sacroiliac joint ?: This could be due to pain from originating from the back (radiating) or pain from the hips traveling (referred) to the back and down the knee. The sacroiliac joint is an important joint which connects the hip and back and problems arising from this joint can cause the symptoms described. There are many and a good exam may provide the answer.
