Pain after EMG: Emg testing can cause temporary discomfort during the examination, but does linger. You may wish to rule out infection or blood clot. Assuming those conditions are not present, you may be experiencing stress-related myofascial pain, which can occur after an anxiety-provoking test. Fibromyalgia patients and patients with chronic pain and psychiatric conditions may be at risk.
