See your doctor: Hard to tell over internet. The pains can be caused by vigorous coughing spells. But pneumonia can be mistaken for heart failure and pulmonary edema. How do you know she has infection? Fever? High white count? Cultures? Is pain associated with cough or not? She needs to go to her physician.

Sense breathlessness: Lung infections especially bronchitis or pneumonia can cause breathlessness after a bout of coughing. Pain is common too. The chances it is a panic attack are there but chances are low. It is better assessed after the infection has resolved.
