10-14 hours: Most 3 year olds need 10-14 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period depending on if they are a young 3 or old 3 and if they've given up their last nap.

Good question: Every child is different! should be no less than 8 hours, but you can't force people to sleep! reduce any and all soda, sugars, stimulants such as computer games, and they will follow a regular pattern!
