A member asked:

Can budesonide aggravate tendonitis?

No.: Budesonide is a potent steroid intended for inhalation or in a non absorbable oral tablet for crohn's disease - which may be associated with arthritis. Budesonide should not cause tendonitis to be worse. It is rarely associated with arthritis ( at the same level as placebo.).

Tendinitis: Budesonide as an inhaled steroid should have no detrimental effect on tendinitis. If your tendinitis is aggravated consider another reason. If the tendinitis has been there longer than 6-8 weeks should consider it not to be inflammated (itis) but instead to be tendinosis. Tendinosis is a chronic change in the tendon.
